Help...Bust clipping through armor (Little Sexy Apparel replacer)

Hello!

I am a bit new to modding Skyrim Special edition (and new to the community), though I dabbled with mods back in vanilla.

I am having a bit of a clipping issue seen in the Gif below. Sorry for the quality. Hit the 250k limit for attachment size.

First I am using the following mods that I think may be relevant to this.

  • XP32 Maximum skeleton Extended
  • Calientes Beautiful Bodies Enhancer (CBBE)
  • CBBE Curvy Body type
  • Fores New Idles in Skyrim
  • Sexy Idle Animation (utilizes HDT for breast collision / not required)
  • CPBC physics with collisions
  • CBBE - 3BBB (installed using CBBE) (provides HDT 'jiggle' physics according to description)
  • HDT (SMP) Skinned Mesh Physics Patch

Specifically, the mod that I am having clipping issues with is the Armor replacer "Little Sexy Apparel" which has two parts.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34689?tab=posts

The 2nd part above is an HDT component that is installed 2nd after the main set which is the first link I included above.

I noticed this only seems to be an issue for the armor that I have tried so far (the iron armor/imperial armor).

There are cloth outfits that work fine. There is no bodyslide version of these armors yet.

When I opened the outfit in outfit studio I noticed that the clothes appear to have the body "attached." At least the iron armor I checked out. They were on separate layers by the looks of it. But it didn't seem like I had to load the base. The body seems to have an underwear component already on the outfit. This is the underwear that is seen clipping through the armor.

All the other outfits I use with CBBE work well upon building them in bodyslide.

I wasn't sure if it it's some kind of conflict between CPBC and HDT? I saw a thread which said you should use one or the other? I also saw recommendations of how to edit a config file to allow them to both work. This is the thread I saw.

https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7713978-editing-the-hdt-smp-config/

I didn't know if there was a config file to tweak for this armor replacer itself specifically?

Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I can try to provide more info if necessary. It's a great mod and strikes the balance of 'eye candy' and practicality that I was looking for.

Thanks.

The one aspect of modding I can't do is modelling (no software or cash to buy any).

I'd just suggest posting this in 'Skyrim Special Edition Creation Kit And Modders' forum.

Someone there may well be able to help.

This is the first time I've checked out this forum in months. I did it out of boredom. Many modders will be like me on this. They are busy supporting their own mods or checking into that forum to post their own questions, or to help other modders. That's the place to go, mate!

Ok! Thanks for the advice regardless!

In the posts section for the second part (the HDT component) someone asks

"is this bodyslide compatible?"

to which the author provides an answer. "No but this is right step toward it. Now that we have proper CBBE HDT conversion hopefully someone will pick it up and make bodyslide."

He (or she?) goes on in another post "Thanks! though the clippings would be somewhat inevitable while people using more bouncy physic settings."

I had seen that, but I wondered if it was an issue with the specific physics I had installed? I didn't actively change any settings with either HDT or CPBC? Considering that the armor replacer uses HDT it makes me wonder if it's the CPBC that is causing the issue? Do you think I could uninstall/deactivate CPBC without it breaking the game? To see if that solves the issue? I did create a backup of all the mods elsewhere.

Thanks for your reply!

EDIT: I just tried disabling the CPBC physics in Mod manager and that seemed to help alot. There is some minute clipping but it's negligible. There may be a way to tweak CPBC settings or something? I am not sure if I want to get that involved lol. It is looking and working fine now.

Thanks again!

Well... or you could use a different armor that isn't effectively broken...

Honestly, idk why anyone would install CBBE-3BBB and then try to break the bounce it offers by default.

Just install stock CBBE and then use its stock non-physics enabled body instead if you want no physics.

I do want physics, and installed a number of other armors and batch built them in bodyslide to use physics. The armor replacer I was having issues with has HDT installed in that 2nd part. I do have the stock CBBE body. But it seemed like the CPBC was at least not working with the particular armor replacers noted above creating the more aggressive clipping. But even disabling CPBC? I still have the physics from CBBE/HDT on the other armors I have in the game.

I think from what I could tell in bodyslide/outfit studio when I checked out the Armor replacers from the Little Sexy Apparel Replacer? They seem to have the body included with the armor somehow. As I said I am pretty new to all this, and others are certainly more knowledgeable than me which is why I came here .

So when you equip a piece of armor it may (this is just my guess) be swapping the base CBBE body with the body that is part of that armor? So even removing the armor from the armor replacer in-game? I can then have the base CBBE body with physics and use other CBBE outfits. For example? I also am using the Angel Vixen Outfit designed for CBBE.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31536/

This also has physics

I've attached a screenshot of the iron armor from the LSAR mod above in outfit studio. I didn't even 'load a reference CBBE body'.

Out of curiosity, I tried loading a CBBE reference, and it appeared to add a 2nd body inside that which is what led me to think the body was a part of the armor and is replacing not only the armor but the body itself? Have you ever seen an armor mod do this?

Thanks for the responses and insight.

Yes, far as I can tell, most CBBE armor/clothing replaces the body by using the default CBBE body as a reference when they create/fit the outfit.

I think there are a few exceptions that are or act like coats and just go over whatever's underneath.

IDK, if you're not dead set on this armor, maybe check out other armors that come "as-is" with physics support. And with a bodyslide ideally, so you can fit it to your body without having to employ outfit studio.
