Hello,
I've just started modding Skyrim SE and after a few complications it worked...or so it seemed.
The probleme is, that it looks like texture mods aren't working correctly. I tried to install many of them (only one at a time) and none of them worked. It installs and deploys a mod, but i can't find them under plugins, but none-texture-mods work just fine, i've installed a bunch of dialog or combat mods, which all worked.
So I looked in the game folder and in contrast to the none-texture-mods like SkyUI or Combat Gameplay overhaul, the texture mod was nowhere to be found.
Has anybody an idea how to fix this? (I already asked on steam and I heard something like: those texture mods have no esp/esm, but I don't know what that meant)

As I said, I'm fairly new at modding and english is not my native language, so please forgive me my mediocre formulations.

Just in case it's helpful, here are the mods that were correctly deployed and applied to the game, when I tried the texture mods.
-Combat gameplay overhaul
-SkyUI
-Enhanced Blood textures SE

The texture mods I tried to install:
-Tempered Skins for males https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7902
-Skysight Skins https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6580

Load order?

MO2 or Vortex?

If Vortex, check by clicking the Manage Rules button in the mods tab and scroll down to any entries associated with your new texture. I suspect that the texture is being overwritten via a load order issue. If MO2, idk how to, but there's a way to check load order as well. Make sure it's being loaded after other textures.

First off, you cannot use two mods that change the same thing. Choose the one you want and install it.

Second, neither of those mods contain an .esm (Elder Scrolls Master) or and .esp (Elder Scrolls Plugin). These files are used when the mod is not a straight replacer mod. It is very seldom used when textures are being replaced. That is why you to not see an .esm or .esp file in your load order.

I'm using Vortex and when I go to "mods" and click "manage rules", I just get the message: "You have no file conflicts. Wow". So this doesn't seem to be probleme, am I right?

So these mods are just meant to be a complement? So if there is a texture mod with an esm/esp, it will work?

TBH that's kinda weird. If I click on the manage rules button, I get a full listing of all mods that are handled.

You sure you're clicking the "right" button?

(that's after opening the mods tab)
