Hello all, I've been experiencing an odd walking issue, for the most part my game will run smoothly and everything will be fine, but often I will be walking and my character will suddenly walk as if over encumbered. This won't be long, not even a full second most of the time, but it is extremely annoying that it happens so frequently. I have attached my load order, all my mods are installed with Fallout Mod Manager and sorted with LOOT. The 4GB patch is installed and LOOT sends no warning, error, or "dirty plugin" messages. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you for your time.

That sounds like the "lag" that can occur when you move from one cell to another. That is due to the graphics pipeline being momentarily overloaded as it loads in and renders the surrounding cells (Pref INI file "igridstoload=" setting under "[General]"). IF you happen to have this set to other than the default of "5", it can be exacerbated.

If you haven't changed any INI settings, then it might be related to a couple of other things:

* If you are suddenly having a "slowdown" or lag; or a lack of sound; or problems getting NVSE to load, or really anything new unexpectedly, please see the 'Issue: NVSE - fails to load after update KB4058043 to Win10 FCU (v1709)' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. This may be due to an on-going series of Windows Updates for the "Meltdown and Spectre Vulnerabilities".

* You can also get "out of memory" errors from the graphics system (which is separate from exhausting system memory), even with the game 4GB enabled. The video pipeline is known to have "memory leaks", and these occur faster with "beautification mods". Here the cause is a combination of larger image sizes ("higher resolutions", aka "hi-rez"), hi-rez texture packs for skin, hair, clothes, weapons, and landscape; along with mods that increase the number of NPCS in a given cell. (All those hi-rez texture "personal accessories" get multiplied by the number of Actors.) Please see the wiki "Display resolution versus Image Size" article. While "ENBoost" can help, you may need to switch to lower resolution/ smaller sized images or even lower quality in your game graphics configuration.

* If you add (or remove) any VWD/LOD textures (such as NMC, Vurt's WFO, or Ojo Bueno), please see the 'Checklist Item #15 & 16' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide regarding the need to run both TES4LL and FNVLODGen; or xLODGen - Terrain LOD beta for FNV, FO3, FO4, FO4VR, TES5, SSE, TES5VR, ENDERAL. Also recommend you read the 'LOD/VWD Texture Packs' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article first.

Please see the 'Common Game Problems' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.
