V.A.N.S. perk GPS Toggle

I know that I am likely a minority for an interest in a request like this. However I would like to ask someone to create a mod that makes the V.A.N.S perk ability which shows you the way to the nearest quest objective to be a toggle, maybe tied to a different key as well? I just find it kind of annoying to use. Not only do you have to keep reactivating vats every few seconds to follow the perks path, but having to enter and exit vats itself in order to trigger it is an annoying time waster.

If a toggle is too difficult and changing the key is impossible then I would settle for it lasting an extended time instead. Something like 30 seconds so that I wont need to reactivate it too often, but it also wont be too annoying to wait for the giant fart clouds to disperse if I want to see something that they are in the way of.

I am going to add that I understand you pretty much never actually need this mod for quests, but I would use it for a very specific case. I have a mod on that adds every collectable in the game as a quest objective, which adds so many objectives that the game is unable to display them all at once. So I am using the handy ability of VANS to follow to the closest objective rather than rely on invisible quest markers. This mod is likely to not see much use outside of this... (I also realise this probably hurts my case more than helps it lol)

However if it can be tied to a different key so that it doesnt activate with vats, then I am sure it would be helpful for people who are annoyed with it slowing their game when activating vats, while still allowing the use of its utility. Rather than removing it entirely like another mod on the nexus does.

you are not alone in wanting a mod for that. I hate indoor quest markers...
