Workshop not showing all items

Hi, so not sure if this is related to a mod or not, but just in the last 24 hours when opening the workshop menu at a settlement the option for buildings does not appear at all. Everything else seems to be still available, but not those. Can still build furniture, defences, plants, decorations and so on but not any kind of buildings. I also have a problem where at some places stuff I've scrapped has come back, so now for example I have old buildings awkwardly merged with new ones. Was happening at Sanctuary Hills but has since been sorted somehow, but still seeing it at Diamond City and Bunker Hill. This was, I think, due to my accidentally deactivating Scrap Everything while installing some new mods. Thought the new mods might have been the problem but removing them again hasn't helped. But don't see how Scrap Everything being temporarily off would cause issues with the workshop menu?

Hello inspector, it doesn't look like anyone has responded to your question. As far as I know, deactivating Scrap Everything will in fact do some really funky stuff to your game. Now, I'm playing on Xbox at the moment, but my research has told me that if you scrap what is unscrappable in vanilla, using a mod, it will all come back when you remove the mod, and will have all bearing on the way your game is acting.

 

The missing structures tab recently happened to me but not until I removed some mods - Snap 'n Build, G2M, Settlement Objects Extended - all because it was just too much lag in workshop mode. Once I removed these, my structures tab disappeared. I read in a google search, anything that alters your menus, will be affected most likely. Re-installing Settlement Menu Manager, and another one I think that's called Workshop Menu Fixer, did fix my menu and my structures tab is now restored.

Settlement Menu Manager alone should help. It's got a "Repair menu" option in its Holotape menu. If some entries are still missing after using this repair option, from my experience the only thing that helps is to uninstall and then reinstall the mods that don't show up in the workshop menu.

 

1. Uninstall the "missing" workshop mod.

2. Start the game. Create a savegame. Exit.

3. Load the save you just created. When in game, save again.

4. Reinstall the mod in question, load the last savegame you created.

 

WARNING: This will delete ALL items you may have already built with the now "missing" mod. It's a last ressort. Use with caution!

Hi, was able to sort everything eventually. Settlement Menu Manager sorted the workshop issue, putting scrap everything back to the bottom of my load order got that working again then uninstalling and reinstalling DC settlement fixed the problems there so everything is back to how it was. Thanks.
