Issues changing automatic fire rates? Fix?

I recently decided to make my first mod and it's a vanilla and DLC weapons overhaul to make the weapons feel more unique while creating better gun-play. I figured out how to do everything I want in the creation kit, but one issue keeps arising. Anytime I edit the fspeed for auto receivers or the speed setting for a gun overall, the automatic receivers equipped on a gun in my inventory will exponentially multiply upon loading the game.
For example, I want the auto-receivers of the Handmade to have an in-game fire rate of 100. I tweak speed on the gun or fspeed for each receiver, load the game, receivers are at 100 fire rate. I close the game, open it up, load the same character and the same gun, no changes to the mod, now shows a fire rate of 364. This has happened on every automatic receiver and gun in the game whenever I edit them.
Does anyone know how to bypass this issue? I don't have any mod conflicts when testing, and I've tried starting a fresh new game with only this mod installed. Still had the issue though.
