Can I create a new Legendary prefix?

I want to make a new legendary effect/mod with the prefix "shredding", but I don't know how to get said prefix to appear in the game. any help would be appreciated

Yes, you can. You will have to edit the Instance Naming Rules, to add the prefix. Create new keyword and associate it with this prefix. Then add the keyword in the Object Modification of the Legendary effect. Just check the vanilla forms for an example.

Alternatively use a script to inject the naming rules and also the legendary effect, if you don't want to edit any vanilla forms. Scripts can be found here:
