Hi HarleyGreen,

Can you confirm you get slow speeds from both small files (less than 500mb) and larger files?

The fact that all servers (including Singapore) show up as very slow indicates it's likely to be a routing problem between your ISP and out servers. Sadly, we get a lot of problems with Australian ISPs in this regard (Telstra springs to mind).

If you have access to one, could you try a VPN or a different connection (such as a mobile data plan) to see if the speeds are any better that way?

I can confirm that when I use my VPN the speed improves up to about 1.3MB/s a second. Which is decent enough for Australia's crappy internet haha. I'm happy to use my VPN to download if there is no other solution to the ISP issue.

I'm only getting 2.5MB/s, regardless of the mod manager or even using direct download.

I've tried the CDN and every mirror available. Not sure why I paid for premium for an extra 1.5MB/s of download speed? What gives?

It is very likely to be a problem with your connection to our servers. I'm afraid we can't help you without providing the troubleshooting info we need: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/92-im-having-download-issues-what-can-i-do

Right. Okay then.

Country: USA
Region: Midwest
Internet Service Provider (ISP): Xfinity (Comcast)
Connection Speed: 500Mb/s
Router: PFSense
All internal connections hard wired and gigabit.

Download tests:

Paris: No Connection
Amsterdam: 500KB/s
Prague: 500KB/s
LA: 1MB/s
Chicago: 2.5MB/s
Miami: 2.5MB/s
Singapore: N/A (region is blocked)

Download test from other content providers regularly show speeds over 30MB/s.

I've obfuscated IP addresses where you see " *.*.* "

Connection to your servers is fine. I can download 10 large files at once and get 2.5MB/s throughput on each one. My individual transfers are being rate limited.

Interesting, thanks for the details. If you are being limited per-file that's more likely to be an ISP thing. The limits we enforce are inclusive of all your downloads, although as a Premium user you're immune anyway.

We also don't have any membership tiers at exactly 2.5MB/s. Are you seeing this for both small files (less than 500mb) and large files?

Do you have access to a VPN? I'd be interested to see if the limits are also in place if you download that way?

Xfinity 500mb/s connection - https://imgur.com/a/WO8wDWv
CenturyLink 1Gb/s Enterprise connection - https://imgur.com/a/LdpRNd8

I've tested on two completely separate connections, different computers. They both hover around 2.5MB/s.

And yes - large and small files - although smaller files aren't a nuisance due to them being small.

Found the issue - downloads are not multi-threading. Is this by design or is there a setting I'm missing that will enable it?

If you're using Vortex we have a setting for download threads under Settings -> Download.

I'd be interested to know if that helps.
