All I want is a mute, simply in settings so I can chose to have the sounds in outer space not happen,

A function; muting sound to occur when the starship is in outer space. Then and if I had, do you remember fly windows? Fly windows, like some cars have; they would seem to seal shut.

I had a science teacher in 8th grade. He put an alarm clock with two bells and a hammer inside a vacuum container. Then turned on a pump that sucked the air out. The more air that was removed the quieter the alarm clock got, Until, the hammer still beating the two bells, it went silent inside the glass dome.

I know noise in comic strips was always quiet, "Pew! pew! pew! Bang! Boom! BOOM! Crash bang! Zap! Whizz! and is important to some people who would rather hear it, and that the Star Wars creator George Lucas found out from the test audience no one liked the movie, until, he added sound.

If he just added the realistic internal ships sounds without engine noise I might still have like that movie. A beep for launching missile. An added fiery burst when they made contact with other ships; should have been enough to entertain anyone of his intended audience.

Fire?! In outer space?! Where there is no air, there are no flames. MARs has AIR?! I didn't know that. Why do we need space suits if there is an ATMO there. The scenes that NASA showed of those landing of study equipment sure made it look like there was enough air friction to heat up the bbq and start a fire.

Only the Sun itself has anything remotely like fire burning in Outer Space in the Vacuum.

All I ask is for a simple switch from ground planet flight sounds to mute the noise once in outer space. Without that sense of land air planet surroundings If we took off and flew into outer space, imagine this.

You would never have time to say, Oh! Sh*te!!! I forgot to close the windows! That wouldn't be heard inside the craft, because the astronaut would have been sucked out through any hole big enough to fit a nice round pizza pie circle through.

Just a quick MUTE sound switch, for when we enter outer space, in the settings so anyone that likes to hear all the sounds while they mine asteroids, fight Space pirates, and hear freighters sending off the deep sounding Alarm, can choose.

You know, so they feel like they are safe on the planet with the wind whistling through the glass windows seams, their engines roar when they push the warp speed button, and tiny noises from banging into objects in outer space that didn't get the solid rock affect removed, because someone didn't make them like most asteroids in the asteroids belt, HARMLESS.

I haven't hit one asteroid while traveling in Warp speed.

I have bounced my ship off of freighters while backing up fighting pirates, I even bounced the ship off of one of those huge asteroids filled with silver, gold, tritium, gold nuggets, and Tetra... Those crystals that are an impossible to mix with metals. Ask a person who makes jewelry how much fun they have mixing gold and platinum for wedding rings? Ask them how hard it would be to make something like a crystal blend with metal in a furnace hot enough to melt STEEL. Even that ring mixed metal they make has a place on it set to clamp that BIG DIAMOND you're getting for your um... fiance?

All that stuff causing noise, like raindrops, small birds we can't see, all around outside the ships portals would not be heard overpowering the internal ships dashboards little beeps, buzzes, or switches, i.e., if we actually had a switch to flip on and off once in awhile.

Just a little setting in settings to mute outer space sounds, so...

so when I feel that dribble of fear because I sense my Starship is near to being destroyed by other ships, and sense one more real life sense, and can't fight to save my Starship before I can run to the bathroom in time, before I watered my boxer shorts inside my Exosuit.

Maybe the Exosuit has got stuff in it to recycle water and crap, but my suit doesn't!

Fearing losing my character and the Starship while in Outer Space makes me feel like a little baby who hasn't learned how to use a toilet yet. The last pair of clean boxer shorts shortened my game time once, because I forgot to do the laundry. Yeah! I was so engrossed in playing NMS one weekend, I forgot!

! Space, No Man's Sky Potty Training Time! :ermm:

Please! Just a little setting or a automatic switch to make the game while in Outer Space more realistic than, you know that, other game.

I was thinking of this myself from the launch. Now that I know about mods, I'm thinking of it even more.

I'd like a secondary mod to go with this one. Instead of the only sounds you hear coming from your ship, go ahead and have some dull noise, heavily filtered, of the "boom" of freighter fleets jumping in, of asteroids being blasted, of ships zooming close by or flying by a freighter, stuff like that. I'd also like to have that annoying whine when you point your ship around replaced with either nothing, or little hiss sounds. Space craft maneuver in space using little jets of gas to point them around, and you can often see them working when ships are approaching the International Space Station.
