Can't install mods

Hi,

 

I'm trying to install mods on skyrimSE and finding they are saying "installing" but just staying there infinitely (never actually installing)

Evnetually I give up and get this diagnosis error

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling vortex. Removing and re-adding the mods (from file)

I also tried removing and reinstalling skyrimSE

How much free space do you have on E:? KS Hairdos is about 1GB in the archive; unpacked expect you would need 2 GB.

Used space 416gb, free space 1.41tb

So only around a quarter of the drive is used

i'm having this issue with all of the mods, both large (5gb+) and small (less than a megabyte)

also it's an SSD drive. so it's not slow

I must admit, i'm finding this maddeningly frustrating

We spoke on Discord and updating to the 1.3.1 test release fixed the issue. This was either a bad install of 1.2.20 or something fixed in 1.3.1
