I can't install it manually because there is no Fallout 76 folder in Plugins.

Then you MAKE a folder called "game-fallout76"

It's just not getting picked up by it. It says that I need to download an extension and I've clicked on the install button when it prompted me to but it still didn't do anything, I've went through that screen at least 7 times by now. I don't know what happened but it just doesn't work.

Did you download the extension?

If so, go to the EXTENSIONS tab, and make sure the fallout 76 Extension is ENABLED

I've checked the extensions tab but there's nothing by the name of Fallout 76. Every other Fallout is there but Fallout 76.

I did restart Vortex.

Do you use windows Defender?

If so, turn off "Controlled Folder Access", the extension goes in the appdata folder, and maybe you have Windows Defender or an AV program that's blocking the installation of the Extension.
You could try and turn off your AV, and try to install the extension

Controlled Folder Access folder is off and I have no idea how to disable Windows Defender.

I can't install it manually because there is no Fallout 76 folder in Plugins.
