Instead of getting rid of state of the art facilities or long range aircraft, you should be able to remove the occupants (taking careful consideration on who deserves the chance to be spared, innocents and sympathisers) to then fill the location with your faction and use the place for good.

Imagine the amount sentients and Minutemen-Railroad alliance good assist with those resources.

Better yet give control of the Brotherhood to someone who isn't against good willed Mutants and Synths or into strong arming settlements for supplies.
Reform the CPG Commonwealth Provisional Government as a Brotherhood-Minutemen-Railroad (Institute Refugees welcome (Eve, Liam, Madison etc) alliance as the ultimate good ending.

I would sooo love to see this Mod!!!  I almost always side against the institute and with the Railroad; and once the bombs are set... and just about everyone is dead... I can't figure out why Tinker Tom isn't in tears Begging Desdemona... "Why can't we just Stay!!??!!!"

 

Great Idea!!! Crossed Fingers someone with talent agrees :).

While this is a great idea, however, it shouldn't need to be a mod in the first place, Bethesda really should've made capturing the Institute an option for all factions. Definitely a missed opportunity there.

 

Awesome idea, nonetheless, I would definitely like to see something like this as well

I agree this should have been base game vanilla.

Here's hoping we get to commandeer the Prydwen and Liberty Prime, giving them both your factions livery.
Also imagine the Institute being used to teleport the wounded somewhere they can get hospital type treatment, not to mention cures and inventions.

I like those ideas. Maybe, re-engineer the Synths to perform other duties. Redirect research into areas that would benefit the Commonwealth. Makes me wish I was in charge of a remake for this game, there is sooooo much I would do, I dont know if I could even list it all...

Fingers crossed someone makes a mod where you can end the game with the Commonwealth's best interest in mind without having to blow everything up.

Madison could let the BOS into the Institute and make a brute force takeover.
Liam could let the Railroad in and do the same.
You could let the Minutemen in and do the same.

Or, can you imagine DiMA, Nick, Curie, Danse, Glory and Yuki coming back to give the Institute a taste of it's own medicine, likely accompanied by sympathisers like Haylen, Liam, KL-E-O, Ada, Deacon and Codsworth.

Really? It does so much more that I'm not fussed about and it has a large dependency.
Makes my game unstable.
