Whenever I install any weapon mod that injects itself into level lists, even if it's only the one mod, I have constant crashes to desktop that make playing FO4 only possible in short bursts. When no weapon mods are installed the game preforms fantastically I must comment the talented work of the mod authors who've made this game actually playable. Anyway recently I tried installing the Modern Weapon Replacers -All-in-One by Cyanide4Suicide which I hoped would make this problem less intrusive, but a few hours into my playthrough on a fresh install I was a few miles from sanctuary and I began getting CTDs every few minutes. Since I first started modding fallout 4 My proficiency and understanding of how mods implement themselves has risen dramatically, so I booted up FO4Edit and ran a filter for conflicts and the entire list of esps was red and yellow. No surprise there I have over 250 mods active (mods not esps). Although when I checked these conflicts most had likely existed before I ever downloaded the weapon mods and again the game was highly stable, and almost never CTDing. The only constant between when the game is and is not stable is when a weapon mod is installed. I was wondering if anyone has had previous experience with a similar issue and maybe had a fix. Weapons are the some of the most game effecting mods and it's a shame that they are effectively locked off. BigSpoonle Posted September 14, 2020 Author Share Posted September 14, 2020 Okay so some big changes I made: I got rid of AWKRC, VIS-G, Armorsmith Extended, Lost Patch, and craftable armor size and replaced them with ACO and Any armor any Clothing.
