I would recommend steering clear of RE - Real Estate. There's something about it that causes player-chosen ROI settings for random properties to reset themselves to zero periodically. The only way you can even discover if this has happened is to revisit each property and interact with the property sign again. There is no means via MCM or even the "ledger" to determine which ones have begun ignoring your choice. Further, it's quite tedious to be forced to fail-equip a Misc "quill" item (that cannot even be Favorited) in order to "update the ledger" (and presumably its stored variables); it should have been handled via the MCM or an actual equippable item, whether a weapon or spell or lesser power. Better yet, the player shouldn't be forced to update that at all, it should be automatic.

 

A potential better choice is the recently published Simple Property Investment, though its author has taken a break from it for a humanitarian modding project.
