AnAtheistBear Posted September 17, 2020 Share Posted September 17, 2020 The number one thing I don't like about this game is that the NPCs don't acknowledge eachother. They say hi to the player all day, but they never say hi to eachother. Society just feels antisocial. There's a mod called realistic conversations, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to make this mod work or another mod that works like it? Or can someone make a mod? Also, if someone can make a wearable bandages mod, I'll donate. I wiped all my mods a few weeks ago and just tried realistic conversations and it didn't do anything. Sad to say the Gamebryo/Creation engine does very little in the way of immersion for me. Bethesda is and always has been very lazy in bringing a sense of real life to their games. Most you'll get is an npc repeating the same two lines of dialogue over and over as it screams at you from across the room when you're in the middle of doing something. Not immersive... So I just made my game pitch black and I run around with a flashlight. Ignoring as many quest lines as I can until I acquire enough knowledge on available mods that can fix this game the way I want it. For the time being it Makes for an easy and somewhat immersive experience. Having NPCs acknowledge each other would be a very nice addition to the game. I'll give realistic conversations a try and see if it works. Personally I've been looking for a mod that adds an immersive soundscape to bars and towns. Just having some glasses clinking and incoherent mumbling in the background when at the saloon or sounds of kids playing in the background and random sounds that you would hear in a public space when at diamond city would make a world of difference.
