Constantly being told to Purge

I have a heavily modded Skyrim LE and SE (600+ and 500+) and recently after doing a reinstall for Windows 10 because of a bad update I had to redownload most of my programs. I downloaded Vortex and everything appeared perfectly normal the only thing I had to do was rezip the Mods back up and just drag them back into Vortex and tada. My saves were good, my games running smoothly, no CTD's, all my mods were exactly as they were before. Now I am getting told to "Purge" because it was another instance of Vortex. Now here's my problem, last time I did this it indeed destroyed my Skyrim LE and really drove me insane because of me having to go through a lot of different fomods and figure out what the hell I selected for each one and how I did everything it's exhausting, taxing mentally, and down right insanity. I don't WANT to purge because everything is fine and exactly how I WANT it, this is the ONLY mod manager I have seen ever do this so why am I being spammed constantly for something that seems perfectly fine right now. Do I have to just never install an Fomod ever again now? I refuse to purge because of the negative experience I had with it in the past. Is there really NO way to disable or say "No" and just reinstall a damn mod anyways so I can choose something else?

Vortex is a mod manager. It expects to be managing your mods and wants to restore a state where it can actually manage your mods.

By reinstalling Vortex and not backing up the vortex data, you deleted all the information Vortex had about which mods it had installed. What you have in your game directory is the last mod setup that you created and it can't be changed anymore.

If you are fine with that and just want to play that setup, that's fine, but then you don't need Vortex just play your game.

If you want Vortex to just install mods on top of that setup you can do that too (irreversible): delete the vortex.deployment files in your Skyrim and Skyrim\data directories (for both games) and then Vortex won't be able to purge those mods and won't ask

But the only way Vortex can manage the mods you currently have in your game directory is if you purge and reinstall them and that is what Vortex assumes you want.
