Feature Requests

I'm sure this has probably been requested a million times but I haven't seen it so..

1. load IMMEDIATELY after

I like the ability to be able to set a rule to make a mod "load before/after" another mod. However, can a "load immediately before/after" feature be added?

It's not drag&drop, but I feel like it could alleviate some of the frustration behind rules generally placing mods somewhere (before or after) in your load order.

You could just add a checkbox on the side of the rule, next to "version" or something. Or just add the option in the dropdown menu.

2. Consistent Filtering Options

Can we have the same filtering features for the Mods menu and the Plugins menu? For example, you can't filter in the Categories column of the Plugins menu, you can only sort. You also can't see the "Highlight" that was placed from its corresponding mod in the Mods menu. Etc, Etc.

Also, just a question.

What does Vortex mean exactly when it says:

"Deploying--Merging Mods" ?

Thanks for your time.

Load IMMEDIATELY After is an unnecessary option, as long as the mod loads after the other mod in the load order, it will override what it's supposed to, Load IMMEDIATELY After would only satisfy someone's Load Order OCD, without being a useful function, and would probably cause more problems than it's worth, because it would shift around the entire load order and cause problems with other mods.

Right, I understand how lower plugins override higher plugins... but what if I know I don't want any other mod coming directly after another one?

It makes no difference, as I said, that's a LOT of unnecessary work for the developer to do, in order to satisfy someone's Load Order fixation

The reason people have such a hard time with Vortex is, that they refuse to just relax, and let LOOT/Vortex sort their ESPs, and instead have to have their load order "Their Way", and that is a recipe for disaster, because with Vortex, you can throw the Load Order Obsession out the window, and instead focus on the important things, such as which Textures, Meshes and BA2s, BSA overwrite each other.

And Vortex will tell you when that happens.

If Vortex doesn't complain about your load order, then there's no need to do anything to it.

I was able to install around 200 mods for Skyrim without needing to do anything as far as load order went.

When I increased my load order up to 315 mods, I had to make a few rules because Vortex told me about file conflicts, but that was about it.

Oh, and I also made some rules in the PLUGINS tab to load a few ESPs AFTER my Bash Patch, by easily assign them to a Group that loads last.

I use the Legacy of the Dragonborn,Mod, and that also has a TON of patches, and if I was obsessed with placing each patch after each related mod, I'd still be fiddling with my load order wasting time trying to make it look nice, rather than having it be functional and playing the game.
