What are dumping stacks ? Wet & Cold Problem ?

Hi guys!

 

First, I apologize for any grammatical mistakes, my french is much better than my English... :biggrin:

 

I recently reinstalled all my skyrim mods and everything was running fine, no CTDs, no freezes, even while running more than 150 180 mods. :cool:

 

But, since I installed Wet & Cold mod (started a new game on a clean save after helgen), I get a lot of script errors in my Papyrus logs. I know that most of them are harmless because it's written at the top of the logs so I continued to test the other big mod that I installed after (like Immersive armors...), but today I ran into my first CTD :blink: (after 1h of playing, I just waited 5 hours in Ivarstead to get the day lighting before going to Highrothgar and BOOM ), and then saw a huge amount of line in my log file, talking about dumping stacks concerning the WetCloakAttachCr.psc script...

 

- Does anyone knows what caused that?

- Could anyone explain to me what are those dumping stacks ('cause I didn't found anything on the internet)

- Was my CTD caused by these stacks and the Wet & Cold mod, or by the dunTransmogrifyAnimal.psc script which is the last error on the log before the crash?

- Or do you think it could be something else? Because I tryied to play three time after that and didn't get any of these lines and no CTD :dry: (But I haven't played for 1h neither)

Wet and cold est un des meilleurs mod sur le Nexus, pas seulement pour l'embellissement du jeu mais aussi, parce qu'il est vraiment bien fait, de plus tout les moddeurs "du froid" :P Frostfall, get snowy travaillent ensembles et même Conveniant horse maintenant afin de les rendre compatible entre eux, bref, le log ne montre rien si ce n'est que vous faisiez une sauvegarde (dernière ligne)

ensuite je pencherais plus pour un ctd du jeu, je veut dire le jeu de base, qui serait arrivé même avec 0 mod, surtout si ce n'est jamais arrivé avant, ça prouve que le Load Order est bon, Skyrim est un jeu tellement riche qu'il en est fragile.

 

Par contre, je le répete encore, le .log est juste un...log, un rapport sur "qui faisait quoi" quand le jeu a stoppé, rien d'autre, j'ai eu des parties détruites avec des logs énormes et le mod concerné n'apparaissait même pas dedans.

C'est bien ce que je me suis dit aussi... Mais comment expliquer que mon log soit passé de 25 Ko à 8014 Ko ? D'un coup, 137 000 lignes sont apparues concernant ce "dumping stack" sur le script WetCloakAttachCr.psc ?

Et puis plus rien à la partie d'après, le log suivant fait à nouveau 20ko...

 

Est-ce que je devrais désactiver le Papyrus log dans mon skyrim.ini ?

le script de W&C est un check d'une fonction qui n'aboutit pas , LVLPredator aussi, c'est un loup ou n'importe quel mob agressif dans le coin, tu avance d'une heure en jeu et plus de script

W&C fait même toutes les X minutes un check up complet pour voir si il manque un paramètre, tu regardera tes log

 

J'ai eu ce soucis sur le skyrim de ma blonde, mais avec Convéniant horse, le log faisait 25k puis crash après l'install de CH »» log= 8570kb . on a fait une sauvegarde clean désinstallé CH proprement etc...refait une sauvegarde, réinstallé CH et depuis plus rien, le cache du jeu s'est updaté et depuis CH fait parti du jeu a part entière, c'est pour ça qu'il faut installer les mods un par un, ceux susceptible de faire planter le jeu bien sur.

 

sinon, non le log donne quand même des infos valables, il est passé de 25kb à 8000+ parce qu'il y a eu crash, c'est que j'explique au dessus, trop d'infos d'un coup pour le jeu, check le log no 1 ou même 4 pour voir, cela dit, si le jeu plante en permanence et donne le même log encore et encore, c'est la zone qui est concernée pas forcément un mod désigné par le script, à partir de ça il faut cherché quoi.

 

ex: il y a quelque mois, un joueur plantait dans la région d'épervine, le log répetait .....critters.psc, il pensait que c'était 101bug de Willow et bah non, c'était deadly dragon qui faisait spawn un nouveau dragon ds le coin qui plantait sa sauvegarde et pourtant il n'apparaissait pas dans le log.

W&C script call a function with no response, LVLpredator also, it's a wolf or any agressive mob around, if you set the time 1 hour further no more script

 

i have had this issue with my girlfriend's game, Conveniant horse was the mod involved, her log was about 25k but then, after installing CH and ...crash = 8570kb, we made a clean save and uninstalled CH properly, saved again reinstalled CH and no more problem, the game cache get updated and CH became a part of skyrim entierely, that 's why you must install the mods one by one, the most sensitives ones at least.

 

Otherwise, no, the log provide good infos, if it goes from 25 kb to 8000+ that's because the game crash, as i've explained it above, too much data for the game at once, check your log no1 or 4, this said, if the game still crashing and give the same log again and again, it's area related not necessarely the mod pointed by the log, but you can start from there and find "what"

 

Ex: few month ago, a guy get crashing is game allways in Falkreath area, the log was all about ....critter.psc, for him it was related to 101bug from Willow, he was wrong, it was Deadly dragon spawning a new dragon around which was the save culprit , but even so it wasn't in the log at all.

En effet j'ai réinstallé tout mes mods presque un par un et ça va beaucoup mieux qu'il ya 2 mois (crash intempestifs sans raison toutes les 20min...LOL injouable quoi!) mais ce qui compte surtout, c'est d'avoir une clean save de juste après Helgen, autrement les mods ne s'installes pas correctement ! Le mieux c'est meme d'avoir une clean save qui n'a pas encore connu de mise à jour du jeu...

 

En espérant que ça aide quelqu'un d'autre... Encore merci !

Your game exceeded the allocated stack memory causing a stack buffer overflow. Typically this happens if you tweak your Papyrus memory allocations in your ini file.
Increasing "iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes" from default to up to 2457600 can alleviate this problem, but setting larger (or invalid) values can make it even worse (or even cause the stack dumps in the first place).

It can also be caused by poorly coded scripts that have too many recursing function calls. Please note that the script dumps list ALL RUNNING SCRIPTS at the time, but because the exhaustion of the stack memory is cumulative, it does not mean that the listed script was necessarily bad or buggy - so please don't jump to conclusions that a particular script "broke your game" as it is more complex than that.
