SSD is full.. Can i safely transfer mods to HDD and keep game on SSD?

Good Evening

 

i am a newbie modder only been doing it a week or so. So obviously i have maxed out my SSD.

 

is there a way i can safely move the Mods to be be stored in the HDD whilst still loading the game off the SSD and how would this impact performance?

 

any help would be greatly appreciated.

i can see how to move the game over to the other drive using the Steam Library. should i just do this or can i still have the benefits of loading off the SSD?

 

I am modding and Playing Skyrim SE.

The Mod Staging folder needs to be on the same drive as the game.

You can move the Download Folder (USING VORTEX TO DO IT!!) through Vortex.

Thanks for your reply. so its looks like if i want to keep Modding i will need to move the game to a different drive on the Steam Library and then using Vortex assign the download folder to the new loaction?

If you move the game to a different drive, you need to move the Mod Staging folder to the same drive.

And in order to save even more room on the SSD, you can move the Download folder as well.

Danger Will Robinson - Purge your mods using Vortex before you move your game folder.

If you don't - you will regret it.

Deploy again after you have Vortex move your mod staging folder.
