stanbaker Posted September 25, 2020 Share Posted September 25, 2020 A friend of mine who speaks C# has grudgingly agreed to work on a mod for Subnautica, if I can confirm for him its even possible before he goes digging. In Below Zero, they've added a jukebox as a base item, and it allows you to add your own music files to a local directory and play them. I know the picture frame can similarly be used to view your own personal images from a local directory. The question is, could the picture frame object be modified or recreated to tie into libmpv or libvlc or something similar and be turned into a video display to play video files from a local directory? I thought maybe those of you who know more about the inner workings of the Unity engine and Subnautica might be able to say "Sure, that's possible" or just straight up "Don't waste time even thinking about it."
