First thing I did was start modding the world to be much darker and with shorter days. I rely heavily on my flashlight to navigate the pitch black nights. A mod that equips enemies with flashlights during the night would be an amazing addition to the realism crowd. There are several options that have gotten a lot of good reviews and encorsements. Most of them are not truly flashlights (at least in that "held in the off hand with my gun in the other variety) but rather are more like wearable head gear, or shoulder mounted lights.
