Desperately need help with my load order. I'm kind of new to moddi

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with my load order. i have all of the files cleaned via TES5Edit properly. and i believe i created a bash patch properly. help me please! i should add, that it crashes right after riverwood. after i cross the bridge towards whiterun. in the same spot all the time. ive tried disabling mods and restarting the campaign numerous times.

If you've even tried starting a new game with absolutely no mods enabled and yet crash at the exact same place, then it appears to be a pretty serious issue. A wild guess; Perhaps it's caused by modded loose files (extracted into the game directory, no .esp).

 

Have you tried re-verifying your game cache through Steam.

Since you've tried it with no mods enable, these probably won't help much - but anyway, perhaps you could try using an automatic load order organizer such as BOSS if you haven't already. I'm not too familiar with the features of WyreBash (if that's what you are using).

Worse comes to worse, you might be also try doing a clean reinstall into a fresh directory.

Apparently you have some leftover scripts hanging around from some improperly uninstalled mods. I just found this yesterday-- http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31724 and it works wonders. Not only will it remove any junk scripts and REFRs, stopping most CTDs, but it will also give you a nice FPS boost. Another thing you can do is add an SKSE.ini file in your data folder. Open up notepad, make a text document that has the following two lines:

 

[General]

ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

 

save it as SKSE.ini and change the save as type drop-down to all files. Then all you do is drop it in your data/SKSE folder. This will remove invalid scripts as you play. The more you play, the cleaner your save game gets!

 

Of course, this assumes you use SKSE.

PS if you use Skyrim Save Cleaner (the above mod) read the first few pages of comments-- the author is not a native English speaker and his instructions aren't the clearest. Look for instructions in the comments by demon_gate. Print them and follow EXACTLY.

The 'save game cleaner' does not clean orphan script data. In fact, I am not sure if it does anything that can't already be done by forcing or waiting for a cell reset.

 

It sounds like the user is having issues with fresh new games (fresh out of Riverwood), so I don't think orphan junk is the culprit here.

Have you previously made modifications to your ini settings? Did BOSS generate a list of plugins it did not recognize?
