Exploding Weapons?

As the title says, a request for exploding Weapons.

I don't know if it's possible, or if it's already been done, but I think a mod that gives weapons with extremely low condition a chance to explode would be really cool.
Say, lower than 15% condition, Your weapon could explode, rendering it destroyed and removing it from Your inventory, and replacing it with scrap metal (or scrap electronics in the case of energy weapons) and crippling an arm.

For the explosion, I was thinking a scaled down Gas Canister (Y'know, those things that look like fire extinguishers) would look best (for guns) since it's not a big fiery death ball.

As for energy weapons, I'm not too sure what a good explosion would be.

Overall, I think this mod work to emphasize keeping Your guns in good condition, or risk losing them.
