Use the dogs as a base for my little pony npc

So I saw a few mods for my little pony characters and I noticed that they all have human bodies.... Kinda weird.

So if someone wants to make this mod, what you would do is use the dogs in the game as a base body and then just add the pony head/tail/texture/so on.

I think it would look a lot better and they would also move better... Also look less creepy.

Anyway, just a thought.

I believe the skeleton and animations are set for the player. You can rig meshes to the human skeleton. A lot of odd mixes have been used (protectron, radroach etc) but I don't believe I'v seen anyone change the player skeleton.

 

But even if they could be swapped out, in a custom race, animations would have to be made for the dog skeleton. I think there are close to a 1000 animations (kfs) and another 1000 idle animations.
