How to get companions clothes?

Yes i know the only way is threw console, but whenever i try to add the item like cass outfit, the game says, that its been added but when i go to my apparel theres nothing, whats going wrong, i thought this was the only way, its been like this with veronicas outfit too, what theres to do, any mod to fix this or something?

Press the ~ key.

Click your follower.

Type "inv" and hit enter.

Look for their outfit and ID.

Type "player.additem [iNSERT ID] 1" and hit enter.

Press the ~ key.

It should be in your inventory.

(This is not a noob friendly geck tutorial)

Go into the geck.

In the bottom right window there is a list of different cells, go to any one you want (I recommend Doc Mitchel's)

Then, on the object window to the left, find Cass' outfit and place it in the cell.

Save the esp and activate it with NMM or FOMM or whatever you use.

Go into the game and go to where you placed it and pick it up.

LOL regardless of whether you add it to your inventory the item has the non-playable flag set. You can easily change this in FNVedit or GECK.

Thanks man, you were right, it was in my inventory all the time but since wasnt playable of course couldnt use it, im a noob using geck, but messing around with it i just edited casses outfit to playable, ran the game and there it was in my inventory ready to use. thank you.
