Outfit Studio Vs. Blender Vs. Nifskope: Mashups.

Hello! I'm planning to start making simple armor mashups using pre-made assets.

From a beginner's point of view, it seems like Outfit Studio can handle .nifs and shaping well enough. It can also change an object's texture paths, so all I'm using Nifskope nowadays for is to change the instance numbers to match the body part I want a piece to apply to.

Now, however, I want to cut a piece out of a vanilla clothing piece to use it in the mashup and O.S. just can't get me that smooth separation.

Is there anything wrong with using Outfit Studio for mashups? Or can I get better results using both Blender and Nifskope?

Thanks!
