Marjoman Posted November 27, 2020 Share Posted November 27, 2020 I've been having an issue recently, since going to vault 81, saving the cat and speaking to a few dwellers, my game will crash after less than 5 minutes, crashing on loadscreens, or with just running around, or stood still. I've tried a deleting new mods that I'd downloaded, and someone suggested deleting prefs file in Fallout4 folder, and neither of those helped at all. I'd had no issues with crashes before going to vault 81, and I can't figure out what's causing it. I loaded an older save, and it was working totally fine, no crashes at all, but i'd lose a fair amount of hours of progress. so any suggestions towards a fix would be a great help. LarannKiar Posted December 9, 2020 Share Posted December 9, 2020 If it's working with an earlier save then most likely it's noting to do with Vault 81.. It may be a Save game corruption.. Typical Save corruptions signs are: infinite loading screens, random CTDs and most importantly: you can go back to an earlier save and play a few hours (depending on how "early" is that save).. then the CTDs happen.. again.
