Idea for a new weapon customization slot: Birdshot rounds

I have a concept for a new "munitions" slot near the bottom of every gun as a gun modification: Birdshot rounds.

 

Birdshot increases gun spread by a small amount, but in term will allow a player to fire 26 bullets worth of ammunition from any gun, even energy and gamma guns, and will work with modded guns all the same.

 

Birdshot is meant to turn any semi automatic, burst, or full automatic into a shotgun basically: I already sketched out the design using this OMOD, the "Signal Splitter" ; 000b9a58 (Which unfortunately takes up the muzzle modification slot)

 

the idea is to give every gun a basic munitions mod that uses birdshot to amp up the power and spread: Overwhelm your enemy with bullets!
