Clear unmanaged mods in Vortex without reinstalling game (Fallout New Vegas)

I used NMM for FNV before, and moved all the mods to Vortex so now they are labeled as plugins rather than mods

I've heard that the fix for this is unistalling the game and reinstalling it, however is there an easier way to do this?

Maybe deleting the plugins for the unmanaged mods in vortex, then trying to find the mods again and reinstall them?

However I do not know how to delete plugins, and I also don't know if deleting plugins will make it so that the data from the unmanaged mods will also be deleted, as with many of my mods it has made it so that their files are mixed with Vanilla game files.

I would assume not as they aren't being managed so it probably doesn't take track of that sort of stuff right?

There's MODS, and PLUGINS.

The ESPs, and ESMs are PLUGINS, the MODS, are the archives that consist of the Textures, Meshes, BSA, BA2 etc.

Also, don't listen to that Uninstall and Reinstall crap.
That seems to be everybody's "magical Fix" for everything, that usually only makes things worse, that people unfortunately do before they come in here looking for help.

First off, How did you "Move" all your Mods to vortex from NMM?

IIRC my 'move' was when I downloaded Vortex after I deleted NMM, or when I got a new pc and I moved all the game and mod files to the new drive

One of those two, I apologize as it has been close to a year ago and I have an awful memory

Did you at least Uninstall all of the mods you installed with NMM, by using NMM to uninstall them, or did you just uninstall NMM, and Install Vortex and expect Vortex to somehow be able to manage the mods that it knows nothing about?

Nope, I just uninstalled NMM

Ugh...There's your problem right there.

If you have Fallout New Vegas on Steam, Close Vortex, then delete the DATA folder in Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\

Then, right click on the game in your Steam Client, pick Properties, and select LOCAL FILES--------->VERIFY INTERGRITY OF GAME FILES

Is there anything I should do before then? Like make a list of my downloaded old mods?

If you click on MODS---->DOWNLOAD history on NexusMods you can see all the mods you downloaded on the nexus

Next time, remember that you just can't uninstall a mod manager and move to another one and expect that it can somehow manage mods that a different mod manager installed.

It has no idea about those mods, Mod managers can only Manage Mods that they install

yeah when I deleted the old one I was still new to it all, I realize now that was a stupid decision but luckily I only used NMM for NV anyways

I'll get back to you when I verify and do the other stuff you mentioned
