Help with AI

Recommended Posts

Just transported this thread to here from other oblivion forum cause it's easier here. I'm trying to change AI in a mod and I'm posting this to be able to ask for help if I need to. Just installed CS and gonna start messing with it. It says he can't load a lot of stuff CTL and more and the it closes and does nothing...

The CS is already a part of GOG. Did you install everything?? Peek in your Oblivion folder as CS is there already if you made a complete installation. -> TESConstructionSet.exe

And also check the version number of Oblivion but the GOG should already be 1.2.404 as mine is

Ahh. Well you need to do the tutorials really to get familiar with CS and I must point out now that there is no fast no short ways of doing what you want to do, only the proper way. Take good time to learn CS as you will need it.

But to open an esp and make it active, you have the check it after you started CS in menu File -> Data but I think the data window opens by default? Also set the esp you want to edit to active in the lists of available esp's and it is impossible to edit or activate an esm as the esm is the source of info and all edits or new stuff made from it will be saved in to an esp and if you do not activate an esp from start, then the only option will be to save as a new esp and that is not what you wanna do at this stage. An esp always point to an esm as its source.

Esm can be edited, but only if we rename it to esp and that is not vice able to do but that is how to make a new esm if we now would need one.

This guide explains all basics in CS and mod making or mod editing

There is also a tutorial called Making your first dungeon, that will explain everything in detail and many dungeon mods at Nexus are base on it. You do wanna edit AI only but I suggest you take time to learn CS
