Hello, i recently switched to PC and i'm pretty new to this (3 days ago) I'm wondering how much could my pc handle with my specs and what i should avoid or my pc wouldn't handle on good resolution.

I will list my specs below. I'm asking this here because when i try to google an answer i don't get the information relevant for my set up. Also any beginners tips to modding in general would be greatly appreciated. (Organizing, basics etc.)

Thanks in advance for any support you can provide me

I cannot give you any advice on your system although it seems as though you will have no problem playing a modded game.

As for modding tips I strongly advise you read these pinned threads at the top of the SSE forum page in Steam forums'

"Skyrim SE: Guides and Resources" by Ilja and "Helpful Links and References" by smr1957.

In my opinion these should be required reading for any beginning modder with SSE. You can just scroll down through the topics and read those that you feel will be useful to you.

You can definitely run a modded Skyrim with these specs.

But don't "overdo" it, especially not at the beginning.

From my experience, textures aren't an issue with a rig like yours. Other things however can still get your FPS down. To name just a few of the most common:

- Physics, especially HDT

- suboptimal ini settings (e.g. shadows). Use BethINI for a good starting point.

- grass mods (especially with high density settings). Grass can eat up a tremendous amount of system resources...

- ENB lights and other particle effects: These can take a heavy toll on performance

- ENB presets: "Top notch" ENB presets can easily cost you some 20 FPS

Don't think "I got a good rig, so I can install whatever I want". Modding Skyrim SE doesn't work that way. If you overdo it, you can bring (almost) any rig to its limits... So start small and expand your mod list step by step. Don't be one of these people who install 500 mods at once and come here asking us to fix their messed up game... :ermm:
