FOMM: something bad happened

Recommended Posts

I just bought Fallout: NV, and I'm trying to open my FOMM for the 1st time, but it tells me that something bad appears to have happened. It refered me to my crashdump.txt. It says this:

FOMM 0.13.21

OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1

System.NullReferenceException: object reference not set to an instance of an object.

What the heck does it all mean? I haven't even played the game yet, or tried to install any mods. Help?

Edit: I tried to open "Package Manager". That's when it happened.

Un-install Fallout Mod Manager.

Play a little bit of the game first.

Redownload and reinstall FOMM.

If that doesn't work for you, try out Nexus Mod Manager.

Oh and if you want to use NMM as well, there is some way you could use both but only load the game with just one of the loaders, just maybe have FONV4GB/|Can work together|/NVSE...

Thanks everyone! I deleted the file and ran FOMM again, and it worked. Thank youhttp://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_images/underground/post_offline.pngluthienanarion.

mewfii, how do I do this "maybe have FONV4GB/|Can work together|/NVSE..." thing. I'm still new to computers. Like, I used my very first computer 5 months ago...

http://nvse.silverlock.org/ go here and get NVSE then go here http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35262 to get FONV4GB

^Once above is done, put NVSE stuff in same folder as the EXE to the program, then load FONV4GB, get to the launcher (Have Steam off to do that), config everything there, but only load the game once then exit...then go to your task manager and find if FONV is still loaded, end the tree, then find the FONV4GB possess and end tree it...then go back to using either FOMM and/or NMM to load your game...
