solarisgaudium
I have been trying to install some new mods to Skyrim (not special edition) and tried to update with FNIS. It showed all of the mods I expected it to, then got stuck on generating files, then would stop responding and force me to close it. I have never had this problem before, and I tried everything. I removed all of the new mods and tried to run it again, same issue. Then I tried reinstalling it in case I had an outdated version, still not working. Nothing I do works, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. All of the research I've done isn't helping either, and I'll admit I know very little when it comes to computers and programs. I just follow the instructions for mods and pray that it works lol. What is maddening is the game was working just fine earlier today while playing, it wasn't until I tried adding some new mods that I ran into a problem. I use a completely separate profile for my main save (very specific mods that I rarely mess with), so I also tried playing on that profile instead. Still had the same issue with FNIS, but my game was running just fine with no obvious problems. So I also tried deleting the other profile and starting from scratch, but that didn't solve anything either. Also, I am using the latest version of Vortex, which I updated today, so idk if that caused this. If someone could give me a hand with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Solution solarisgaudium Posted January 5, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted January 5, 2021 Well I don't know what I did, but FNIS decided to work now? It took a bit longer than usual, but it got there in the end. Whatever was holding it up made it through I guess lol.
