Where we don't quite understand what the people are saying, the written language is strange and foreign. But you are the foreigner. And here you are to survive.I am probably not the first to suggest a mod used to learn Japanese while playing Skyrim. Hopefully I am not the last. I know there are also plenty of learning games out there for languages. But I had an idea, and wanted to share.So in this place there are laws, taboos, etc. Things we can probably learn from observation. Why are these NPC's getting angry at me... And why are they barefoot? Oh, maybe I should take my shoes off.What if shouts were in Japanese and the more of the language you know, the better off you are? The more clues to quests you have. The more enjoyable conversations between NPCs you can overhear. The easier it is to live in this place.But how do you progress? Learn. How do you learn? Clue. A word here and there at a time. A phrase said that begins to make sense. What is this? What is that? How much?I am but one person with an idea. I am not skilled. I am not talented. I just dream, and here is and idea I have dreamed. Lets go to a place where we have to survive by learning. By immersing ourselves into a language. By being out of our comfort zone. By not knowing what is going on. And not just having to know how to swing our sword, draw a bow... But to be able to learn from the world we find ourselves in, and harness the power behind the language there. If this mod was to be pursued, it would need to be something like an overhaul. Skills that we would be familiar would need replacing or readjusting so we MIGHT be able to just get by for a bit, but by learning you can prosper.What say you?
