Saving settings? Please help

I have just installed Oblivion on my new pc, and everything works fine, except the fact that all the settings (video, mouse, resolution e.g.), dosen't save when i close the game. I have tried to make a new game, change the settings, save it, and restart Oblivion, but that dosen't work. I have also tried to make the "save ini", but neither that work.

i had similar problems with League of Legends, when i tried to change the resolution, and fixed it by creating specific folders in the game folder. But i have no clue regarding Oblivion.

I don't know what causes the problem on my computer. It is completely new (pretty high end). I have a SSD (Windows 7 + severeal programs) and HDD (games, Oblivion etc.) in my pc, but i don't know if that has anything to do with my problem.

Hope someone can help me ;D

Oblivion will refuse to save the settings if they are invalid. For example, you cannot enable AA and HDR at the same time. If you want both, only enable HDR in-game, and force AA through your video driver control panel.

You should also make sure that you have a valid ini file. This should be found in \Documents\My Games\Oblivion\, and is calle Oblivion.ini -- NOT the one in the installation folder.

How do i check if my Oblivion.ini files is valid?

Go to \Documents\My Games\Oblivion\ and delete 'oblivion.ini'. Now run the game *from the launcher* (OblivionLauncher.exe). Choose 'Options' (underneath 'Data Files') and set your preferences and save. You will now have a clean ini.
