yousei11 Posted January 19, 2021 Share Posted January 19, 2021 (edited) I can't start Fallout 4 from the Vortex launcher. The game starts normally from steam and from program files, but when I start Fallout 4 from Vortex it says its "running" but then stops a few seconds later and nothing pops up. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Fallout 4, I made sure Vortex had the right path to Fallout 4 and I made sure that Fallout4.exe and Fallout4.launche.exe were NOT running as administrator. I haven't installed any mods yet, so there shouldn't be an issue with mod conflicts. Edited January 19, 2021 by yousei11 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Solution yousei11 Posted January 20, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted January 20, 2021 The solution was actually pretty simple. Not deleting this thread in case anyone else comes across this. What worked for me was to run Fallout 4 in windowed mode on the launch application. If your game keeps crashing in full screen, just run it in windowed. EZ.
