Purple limbs/ everyone is caucasian

a lot of people seem to have purple bodies and torsos, namely raiders. Black and older characters like east pete and the ranger with the bum leg in novac all have pale, caucasian faces too. Obviously its a texture problem, but I don't know the source of it. for all I know I could have installed a mod improperly and deleted some vital data. the only thing that I can think of that might have done it is playable ghoul race, but I turned it off and I'm still having problems. Make sure that this line:

 

bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1

 

...exists under [General] in your fallout.ini file and re-toggle your Archive Invalidation.

oh s#*!... I think I accidentally deleted my archive invalidation. Am I screwed?

No, if you use FOMM or NMM either one has the Archive Invalidation feature. I would also suggest using BOSS on your load order.
