Hello. I have recently built my new pc, and I have been encountering a very tedious and annoying issue with Skyrim SE. I will be playing the game, and at random my game will be subject to a momentary freeze (maybe half a second) and then my screen will go black. I can still hear noise in the background, but my character does not generate noise, which leads me to believe the game is frozen. I cannot alt+tab the game out and shut it down, I have to physically log out of my profile on my PC to force shut it down. I tried doing a clean install with new drivers, but alas it did not work. I simply want to be able to play my game for more than 15 minutes at a time, without having to log out each and every time just for the same exact error to occur.

I don't expect anyone to fully read that list (about 189 esps), but if you notice something that would cause this sort of issue, or you yourself have an idea of what I can do to fix it please do tell. I am just beyond confused at this point in time. Thank you in advance.

 

FIXES I HAVE TRIED:

updating drivers, uninstalling mods, starting new saves, giving administrator priority, download fixes, tweaking ini settings.

Are you playing on a new save file, or are you continuing an old save on a new pc?

 

Try playing without mods and see if you still have the crashing problem. If you don't, then it is probably due to your mods. If you do, then it's time to start thinking about cutting back on the mods and adding new ones back in batches as you go (a super tedious process) until you run into the problem again. And of course, if you're able to add all of them without replicating the problem, then yipee everything is solved.
