Fallout 3 - Blurry Textures

Most of the textures in Fallout 3 are blurry and low res even though graphics are set at Ultra and texture size is large. I've read that you can fix this by setting the mipmap quality to max in Catalyst Control Center, but this didn't fix it for me. I made sure CCC wasn't overriding the AA or ansiotropic filtering. Also, I ran Fallout New Vegas and the textures look just fine. Can someone please help me figure out what is going on? I bought Fallout 3 for PC just recently in order to mod it, but the vanilla game looks like crap right now.

Here is a screenshot of what I'm seeing:http://i.imgur.com/Dmfr6el.jpg

The check marks are the mods that are active. Everything in the game works fine except for the blurry textures.

your driver for video card are updated? if yes and all the system work perfectly my suggest is uninstall all mods and FO3, make a fresh installation of the game, use new version of mods you choose (as suggested by blove) and make a new game for test (if ok you can try old savegame).

i send link in PM. .

Ok I uninstalled all the mods and uninstalled the game. After reinstalling (without mods), I'm still getting blurry textures. At least I think they are blurry. The game doesn't usually look this bad does it? What is going on?

I think I fixed it. The problem was caused by ATI Catalyst Control Center overriding the high quality mipmap settings because I had a separate Fallout 3 application profile. Once I deleted the profile and set mipmap to max quality, the textures were fixed. CCC is lame. I am now installing the mods now, but I think everything should be fine. Thanks for the help!

very strange .......your game not load all the texture from vanilla game.....is a new game or saved one? you have problem with other game? make sure all video component are updated. (drive video card and dx9 version june 2010) you may try to replace standard texture with NMC texture, just to see if is a game problem or system problem.....
