aaatppp Posted April 5, 2013 Share Posted April 5, 2013 The damage for ALL my weapons has dropped . Different weapons have damage between -4 and 0. When I tried to quick save and load it said I had a corrupted file so I removed all recently added mods and deleted the corrupted files. When I loaded a non-corrupted file, my weapons damage was still low. I had a sword with damage 114 which now has damage -4. Please help! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jannifer Posted April 5, 2013 Share Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) There are a couple of things you might try, at least one of which falls into the category "the blooming obvious." Check to see if your character is diseased. I believe that disease penalties stack. If disease is the problem, drink a potion or hie yourself to the nearest shrine. You don't say whether you're on the PC or a console. I play on a PC, so keep that in mind. For a PC, if you have a retail version of Skyrim, go to the main menu on the disk (open My Computer, click on the drive, choose the Installer) and click Reinstall. This will fix corrupted game files. If you have a digital download, go to your Steam account, your Library and right click on Skyrim. Choose Properties, then Local Files, then Verify Integrity of Game Cache. If something's gone wonky with your installation, then verifying the game cache will prompt Steam to redownload any corrupted files. Either of these fixes should also work with consoles, depending on how you originally installed the game. The only other thing I can think to do is to go back to an earlier save when you know the damage values were showing properly. :( Good luck!
