LE New body replacer.

Hoo man this is got to be a horrible Idea but here it goes. Would anyone want to/will do/ever create a mod that actually depicts a natural female body shape?

 

Now I know what your going to say "Oh well there's already mods like that! Like this, this and this."

 

And I would answer "Yeah those are pretty cool :biggrin: I use CBBE at the moment and I like it"

 

The everyone would say "Well why are you asking?" (Some people would say "You dumbass")

 

To which I would reply "They don't look realistic enough for me"

 

And everyone would reply with "....." (others might go "shut up its a game no realism for you")

 

And then....ok that's enough acting. Lets get back to it. Well I know that there are many body mods that have settings and sliders that can be tailored to specific wants. But the thing it is all sexualised for the male demographic, and me being male I dove right in for the boobs, legs, butt and general physique. And for a while I was happy with it :biggrin: But over time I just got more and more bored with the bodies, as every woman in the game was the same. Now when I unequip armours or take all the items off a dead body my eyes just glaze over as the character is stark naked in the wind and looks identical to my character. And when I look at other variants I either shake my head at how ludicrous they are or that they are too skinny and all that jazz.

 

Now for my request I would like to see a mod that has realistic proportions for the varying weights, proper body sizes that fit the character and maybe some physics thrown in as well for realistic breast and butt bounce. Not physics were the boobs seems to bounce all over the place and the butt looks like sacks of water tacked on to the back of the character. One of the main parts I would like to see in the mod though would be to see realistic character and npc diversity. For example each npc would have different sizes, shapes and physiques. So Aela would not look like Uthgerd, I would think Aela would have smaller breast compared to Uthgerd, as Aela has been doing a lot of work for the companions and (slight spoiler) being a werewolf makes the person more fit. Uthgerd is older and has been not been doing much, maybe a few demanding jobs but not as much as Aela.

 

Another important thing I would like to see would be realistic race diversity, in that it would fit with the race and what they do. One Nord woman would not have the same physique as another, as every person in the world is unique and has different body shapes. So a Bretton should not be able to have the same physique to a Nord, as Bretons are typically smaller than the other races so there sizes would be smaller than others. Like a D-cup for a Nord would be kinda big but a D-cup for a Bretton would be smaller. For example an Argonian is an agile swimmer and mostly stays in an athletic build as they swim quite a lot so the possible maximum size for them would be rather small, like B-cups (C would be pushing it but wouldn't be impossible) as big breasts kinda drag in water so it would be more of a hindrance than a positive. They would also not have nipples, being reptiles they are not mammals and therefore do not require nipples as they do not produce milk. You could go one step farther and say that they shouldn't even have breasts but then that might open its own can of worms, such as it being hard to discern males and females of the species, non-sexualising a race that even more people do not want to play and they would seem rather odd. Another example would be Nords, who are tall and muscular. They would have quite big cup sizes for their size, like an Nords A-cup would be a humans B-cup and a Nords D-cup would be close to a E-Cup. They wouldn't look so huge though as it would fit the body and size of the race.

 

And the last parts of the mod could be little things like pubic hair types, randomised body imperfections (such as moles, freckles etc) and underarm hair (with varying lengths and shades for people who either want hairy woman or shaven women :P)

 

And there you have it, what I request in a nutshell. I know this is a lot to ask for and it most likely will not be done, now or ever, but at least I can say that I asked the people. I would so much love seeing this being made a reality though and I'm sure there are people out there that want a realistic body mod that accurately depicts the female form, rather than one that makes them look like Anime girls, pin-up models or even stick thin women that look like they snap in the breeze. If enough people get behind this then someone might pick it up and actually make it, and I would shake that mans, or womans, by the hand and thank them for making the mod :biggrin: Thank for for taking the time to read this and please put a comment saying whether you agree, disagree or have another way of doing this that would ease the creation for the mod.

Does it make you say "Typical male demographic" or do you actually like mods like CBBE? I haven't actually seen anyone ask women their opinion so I thought now would be a good idea :P

Well Jeir has given you the link to the only Body Mod I know of that goes anywhere near your wishes...and so I will instead just content myself by answering your final question...:

I am a 43 year old married mother of teenage daughters and so figure you may be curious as to what my thoughts are. Yes, the body mods are idealized, both for the female and male form, but does it bother me?...No....I in fact quite like the CBBE myself, I like the rounded figure, full hips and breasts...the extra meat so to speak.... though idealized, it looks pretty healthy and that's what appeals to me. I don't like the UNP for the same reason, it's too thin and unhealthy looking. I guess I am seeing things from the perspective of 'Does that body look like it could carry (baby) ?' ...an instinctual thing in me I suppose. I don't give a damn that they are idealized, I love beauty myself and find the CBBE quite beautiful, as I find the Favoredsoul Male body Mod beautiful also....they have nice butts and chests.... :happy: (the males that is.... :biggrin: ...)....I think MajorShepard as many of us get older....like myself...we get over the silliness and paranoia about body image, perceived inequalities, etc...and come to understand and cruise with our own sexuality and that of others....if these 'typical' male's playing the game didn't find those lovely bodies delicious to look at (depending on their sexual persuasion of course) I would be concerned....unless of course as you point out, it gets a bit too same/same after a while.... :P ...As for me, I'm not bored with the Favoredsoul as yet and won't be for a long time.... :biggrin:

There's also Body by Race, but it's not as thorough as the RBS. I'm pretty sure you can also edit the RBS files if you really wanted to get more variation (top heavy? Bottom heavy? Super skinny? etc.)

I'm a 24 year old female, and CBBE is also the body mod I prefer, although admittedly one made in BodySlide which is slightly curvier than the 'Slim' body (B to D preset). Caliente, the creator of CBBE, is also female, and I know that many of the users are also female, so it's not just the 'typical male demographic'.

 

Why did I pick it? Well, quite simply, I find it to be the best looking one. I like making young (18-25), girly/feminine characters, and it lets me do that. Normal sized bust, nice curves/slender waist, and wider hips are what I find to be an attractive female body.

 

I had a look at other mods, but never used them, because they just couldn't compare. Either the breasts were far too big (yeah, I use CBBE to avoid jumbo breasts, funny, huh?); the anatomy was off (breasts placed too high on the chest, and/or weren't affected by gravity; wide shoulders which I consider to be very masculine) or super-exaggerated by either making everyone 'amazons', or anorexic super models, or; the body was too similar to vanilla (which, while better than previous games, was just...wrong). It's also the closest I've seen to my own body type.

 

Yes, it is an idealised body type, but they all are, in one form or another. If you want a truly 'realistic' body...add stretchmarks, cellulite, scars from stuff like chicken pox, water burns, bites, as well as weapons/magical burns, larger pores, spots/zits, etc. The problem is that not everyone has all these things, just as not everyone has a 'perfect' shape with 'perfect' skin, so it's up to the user to decide what they want. I picked something that works for my character, and don't really care too much about how npcs look under their clothes. =D

 

As for males...I use Sundracon at this moment in time, because it's better than vanilla, and doesn't have the huge thighs of FavouredSoul (pretty much the only reason I wont use the currect FS body).

I am a woman, and personaly I use UNP, abit the work safe version.... The vanilla body just looks wrong, and CBBE is a bit... too curvy for me.... While it is not ideal it is better then nothing...

 

Also now that I think about it, using UNP for both fallout games probaly skewed me twords it as well but meh. :/

 

As for feeling disgusted, or typical male demographic.... Not really, it just seems like the traditional internet demographic to me, sex has nothing to do with it, IIRC the maker of CBBE is also a woman....

 

Now, the ones where the breasts get biger or the porpotions more off start to bother me, but the two main ones, UNP and CBBE dont bother me at all.

I still find the CBBE bodies attractive, don't get me wrong, its just makes me glaze over when everyone has the same body as my character. But ah I guess I'll either try one of those mods or just deal with it :D It probably doesn't really matter to me just thought I mention and Idea I just came up with, I do that sometimes :P

I just thought I'd chime in with CNHF - It's an alternative but ALSO, being a dedicated follower of Calyps on tumblr - I know that he's been asking people what they would like to see in CNHF next. Maybe hand in some solid examples? :smile: (also I think that his request on women opinions only is a tad misplaced, but I understand that he means to achieve a look which purpose is not only to attract men).
