.daimod to .fbmod - how?

I would like to convert some very good mods made with DAI Tools Suite - which isn't supported anymore - to our current trusty Frosty. The mods in question are not textures or meshes, but rather utilities.

I don't want to bother with making these two mod managers work in conjunction anymore. The process is tedious, at the very least, and there are awesome texture and mesh mods out there for Frosty.

Except...I don't know how to do the conversion. I don't mean simply tossing a .daimod into Frosty and hoping for the best. This won't work sometimes; otherwise, we could put any .daimod into Frosty and just boot up the game. ...Except the game won't start.

Are there any among you who have successfully converted utility mods? If so, how is this done?

I've seen that the Conversation Camera Zoom mod was converted just fine. I'd like to try my hand at No Perk Requirements, Schematic Spree, Search Radius Increased, Crossroads Supplies, War Table No Waiting, and such.

Lots of gameplay mods can be loaded directly through frosty in way you described: unzipping the mod, then importing it. In fact, gameplay mods are usually the ones most likely to work when loaded via frosty in my experience, as opposed to textures which are on the much more wonky side when it comes to importing daimods via frosty. There can be some issue with configurable mods though, but some do work.

I can confirm schematic spree loads and functions just fine with the daimod imported through frosty, no conversion needed. There are already multiple frosty conversions of the war table - no wait time mod here and here. For search radius increased you could try the frosty improved search mod, different values but same idea. I suspect crossroads crafting supply would work okay through frosty as the schematic spree is also a shop edit mod and functions okay through frosty, and the mod doesn't appear to be configurable, but I have not tested that one personally.

I don't know about no perk requirements, but you can test.

As for conversions, you export the .ebx file, rename extension to .bin, import the .bin file over the file in frosty.

Thank you very much for such an encompassing and quick reply!

I will check out the mods you've suggested, and I'll try the conversion recipe. I'll give feedback on my efforts.
