Mod recomendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for bodymesh and/or clothing mods for Skyrim SE? ive tried just about all of them and have Settled more or less on BHUMP but im open for suggestions as i cant seem to get the mix right. If you have a load order too that'd be fantastic, ive been building and rebuilding my list due to clothing and bodyslider issues. ( weird shaped breasts, missing or misfitting areas, and issues with the clothing on female stomachs spazzing out) honestly i just want a decent looking female character ( and NPCs) that has outfits that actually fit so any help is appreciated

I'll admit, BHUNP seems to produce a somewhat more realistic, or at least, more appealing female figure than CBBE-3BBB (in my opinion), but it's more difficult to work with in Bodyslide, since Bodyslide wants to use CBBE-family textures in its preview windows, and BHUINP uses UNP-family textures, so adjusting certain body attributes are problematic (breasts specifically) with BHUNP.

But you know the issue in bodyslide already...

Once in-game, you'll need UNP-family textures to apply to your BHUNP player (or followers), which, regardless of the irritating mismatch in Bodyslide, will resolve issues with the hip stripe ugliness and misplaced nipples and chest shadows.

BHUNP is also less represented in clothing and armor choices (although it's come a long way in that respect over the past ~year)

I use BHUNP for a few followers (Sha, Elwyn, and Hikari). It was a pita converting and duplicating (to the best of my ability) the UNP followers to BHUNP because of that Bodyslide issue with BHNUP (or any UNP family) meshes and Bodyslide's use of CBBE textures, but I use CBBE-3BBB for my female player to avoid the issue for her.

I don't want to proselytize, but I'd recommend you opt for CBBE-3BBB instead, at least for now. It has more bodyslide preset, armor and clothing options for download, and it works directly in Bodyslide.

then you can

  1. build your nude body in bodyslide (using a CBBE-3BBB PRESET) with one of the CBBE 3BBB amazing bodies, making sure to check the build morphs checkbox so that you can use racemenu on it later
  2. save that adjusted bodyslide preset to somethng like "player_nude" (so you can refer to it later)
  3. use that preset to make a modified version (also save it after tweaking to a "player_clothed" variant) for clothing or armor that might in real life flatten nipples, push up breasts, spread (width) or squish breasts (cleavage)
  4. then fit your armor and clothing to the nude or clothed variant preset as desired (lingerie or a bikini top might use the nude, heavy armor, obviously the one that smashes nipples and flattens breasts...). FYI, I have three variants for clothing/armor
  5. then, once you've handled you initial bodyslide work, open the game and use racemenu to fine tune your body, and then save that racemenu work to a racemenu preset so you can refer back to it at a later date if needed.

(Note: racemenu adjustments ARE NOT the same as bodyslide adjustments. They act on different nodes. IMO, it's best to think of racemenu as working on a duplicate "refinement" mesh - predefined by the initial bodyslide work - and laid over the bodyslide mesh)

to find any of the files you asked about, it's as simple as searching the various mods sections (by category, etc) for matches to the body type you've opted for, be that BHUNP or CBBE-3BBE, or any other a given player chooses to use for their game.

Personally, I used a bit of this and a bit of that to assemble the single mishmash outfit my player wears. Several pieces from Sun Jeong's sets, boots and a poncho from Keung's fur set, the Northgirl shoulder cloak, a few "bangles" like those turquoise earrings shown in my nexus avatar) and some lingerie items to fill it out, with as many as possible upgraded via the enchanting and smithing tables, and a bit of Lazy Tools cheating to switch a couple from clothing items to light armor and boost their ratings to usable armor. (the earrings, btw, have a +35 archery and some other enchantment on them, care of my maxed enchanting abilities)
