Unnamed Landmass - continue work?

This is by no means a announcement thread - Rather its the opposite, it kinda a what could've been if I had the time.

This is a project ive started 5 months ago

been working on for 3 months

I've stopped for 2 months recently

Ran out of motivation + RL commitments means that I'd rather be playing games to blow off steam, rather than working on a mod.

Currently implemented:

Playable area 1/4 size of Skyrim (roughly from solitude to whiterun)

1 Featured city - Shops, transport to and from Skyrim, Guards who arrest you, crime factions, Jail

20+ Interior cells (4 dungeons cells, the rest are shops and housing)

50+ NPCs (some generic, some unique)

2 short quests

Future Plans:

None, im not sure if i have the heart or will to finish it.

This is my attempt at getting feedback from the community

Is there enough interest for me to start working again?

Turn it into Blackmarsh and I'll love you forever and have your babies LMAO (I could really use Blackmarsh you see ;) )

Visually it looks very good what you've shown so far, and lets be honest, with the demise of Skyrim now, no more DLC's, new lands are more important than ever!! There's only so many times you can run around the same piece of real estate and mods start stumbling over each other in the world space.

IMHO all the greatest mods you can think of only go so far, they don't really extend the life of the game, just the looks, new lands are essential regardless of the "state" they are in, because moders can always build upon it.

So my vote, for sure!! Get it done as best you can and get it out the door, I'm sure I wont be the only one to offer any help I can give to get this done.

Hope you can find the drive to pick this up again m8, seriously though, I'm in the middle of a mod myself, but I'd gladly lend a hand if you needed it.

Wow. That's quite fantastic! I seriously think you should continue your work on the mod! It looks fantastic. I'd love to help if you need it. I have much knowledge of the CK, so if you need ANY help, just tell me!

Wow, this mod looks great; if you are unmotivated, I would just recommend somebody else to pick up the work. It looks really cool and I would actually download it, specially liked the look of the sanctuary and the old water gate. In my opinion, I think you should come up with a back story and say it some kind of island in north west of Skyrim (because that makes the most sense imo) that was settled by Imperials and traders from the Whiterun plains.

This doesn't look like the blackmarsh at all.

I know it doesn't look like Blackmarsh LOL hence me saying "turn it into", you can't turn it into Blackmarsh if it already looked like Blackmarsh now could you  and it was meant with a hint of humor

That looks like wayyyy too good of work to throw away.

All you need is:

-a few people to make interiors

-A simple quest line that gives the people a reason to go to the island and a short something to do.

That's it! Then, just allow people to mod your worldspace with their own quests, dungeons etc.

As the previous commenter said: since the DLCs are done, a brand new land by modders is desperately needed.

As a project lead of a big project that has been in development for more then a year I can safely say that making a big mod like this at a high quality standard is definitely not that easy. At all.

That's not what I meant. He doesn't need to make some huge quest mod, just some small additions to get his material out there and usable by other modders if he feels he doesn't have the motivation to do a huge, long term project.

I agree, with both, big mods are hard work, but (as one that has suffered with this) burnt out can be a b***ch and it can be seriously hard or almost impossible to carry on, but released in a usable but unfinished state isn't a bad thing, of course we'd all rather have it completed and in a good finished state, but if the creator is having issues with motivation which I fully understand, I know that we'd just love to have the world space to mod into and bring it on, it's seriously looking to good to throw away!!
