Better Train Model

One thing in Fallout 4 that always annoyed me was the lack of many features for the dieselpunk nuclear-powered steam-style locomotives, specifically the lack of a tender. I browsed the web and found some newer artwork featuring the locomotive and even a 3d model, but no mod. Would it be possible for a mod to be created that features the locomotives of the Commonwealth with proper tenders by using the 3d models below as a references?

General Atomics Nuclear-Division M9010 6-8-4 Train and Tender by Tristan B.

How the engine would connect to rolling stock.

Having the ladders by the sides might also allow for easier to the cab, which might be required to say, fix up one of these gargantuan beasts.

Edit 3/2721:

One of things that has to be addressed is the lack of any form of articulated connection between the locomotive and the tender. I would have the ladder platform be that connection with a quarter to half foot gap between both the locomotive's cab gangway and the the tender's gangway.

+1

The nuclear-steam loco would presumably only need nuclear material (likely one of this fuse boxes for nine fusion cores), water for boiling and coolant to prevent meltdown (just like all of the cars have), what would you put in the tender? Two tanks for reserve water and reserve coolant respectively?

But don't get me wrong, I love trains and would love to see more locos, especially pre-divergence ones in preservation.

I saw a screenshot of a more traditional steam loco but unfortunately I believe it was from Age of Airships time travel mod and I'm not really into this kinds of changes in my game.

Warehouse Extension has the nuclear-steam loco in vanilla and GameJam colours, along with rails and rolling stock.

Another mod adds the diesel loco from FO New Vegas and yet another mod adds the monorail cars with snapping bogies so they can run on the track and be powered by the third rail.

Let me know if you need links and I'll come back.

Thanks for warehouse extension, from what I can tell from the images it's going to be a fun time when I go through my next game.

On the other siding, heh heh, I think a tender for holding extra water and coolant would be necessary as during my travels I saw no Water or Coolant towers of any kind. Plus, there is no way that one can reach the cab and I say no form of portable accessway on any platform. No matter how atrocious working standards were pre-war, there is no way that they would force the driver and fireman access the locomotive from the literal top of a boxcar.
