I recently downloaded DS PTDE and decided to mod a few things, as always the first thing i did was download and install DSfix but it somehow broke the game and its now stuck on a very dim "PRESS START BUTTON" screen. I've attached an image.

I reinstalled the game multiple times and it works fine unmodded, but as soon as i transfer dsfix contents into the DATA directory it breaks in the same way every time, with and without tinkering the ini file.

Changing ingame AA to either OFF or ON does nothing to help.

I am able to enter a save and play but i might as well be playing blindfolded as the screen won't change and i'd rather not opt in for that challenge.

 

I hope there is someone who still reads this forum that can help. I would greatly appreciate it.
