Rhexus Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 Hello, Nexus Community As you already know there are tons of great modifications out to upgrade the skyrim experience especially the graphic mods caught my eyes and i am testing several mods now. i started with an ENB mod "Sharpshooters extreme graphics" which caused my pc to get quite loud so far so good i thought. now i wanted to upgrade the textures aswell like using "legendary misc" mod, 2k hd textures and flora overhaul" unfortunally these mods "eat" my framerate down to being almost unplayable. it lags every 5th seconds or even stop working for a while completely that i have a frozen screen(ctrl+alt+del still works, sound still works aswell) and now i am trying to find a solution. i hope it is not my pc but i am afraid it might exactly be it since he s getting quite older now (3 years old) Win7 64bitAMD Phenom II x4 955 processor (4cpu's) ~3,2GHzDirectX 11 of courseNvidia GeForce GTX460SE (which is not that up to date anymore i think) or may it be false installment, incompatible mods mixed together etc.? prod80 Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 yea, I dont think your gfx card can keep skyrim running with ENB + all those HD mods.I have a gtx560Ti OC and it's even not able to keep up... speed wise fine, the problem is the gfx card's memory. 1GB simply doesnt cut it. Georgiegril Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 I agree with Prod.I have an older card than you (9800 GT 512 MB) and I am able to run flora overhaul, SMIM and a few others but at lower resolution options and without any ENBs or the like. I think you will need to choose what is most important to you.Also if you meant you haven't updated your cards drivers when you said it wasn't up to date, I'd definitely suggest that. Rhexus Posted May 3, 2013 Author Share Posted May 3, 2013 Thank you for your answers :) yea i think it overloads with all that mods. it is just that it was suggested by many sites , looking very realistic and wanted to give it a try. the card's driver gets automatically updated and i checked it , it is the latest driver. i was thinking about getting a newer card for 200€ and then with all mods active except the enb :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
