CTD on Save! Help!

So, it's been a week since I first encountered this issue. It all started when I was on a quest called "Restoring Order" (CC Content) I was halfway into the quest when I tried to "quicksave" and BAM! the game crashed, I tried again and the outcome was same everytime.

 

 

Now I made a gruesome mistake of uninstalling some mods midplaythrough and I think that might be the root cause but If you guys could help me out I would really appreciate it.

 

 

Before you ask, Yes I have LOOT, I use Vortex and NMM, I cleaned my plugins using xEdit, I tried Re-Saver too but it didn't work :-( and I also tried console command like player.kill but nothing seems to work.

 

Please help a feller out :sad:

i am having the same issue

i used a save cleaner so no orphaned scripts

any form of save CTDs waiting, quicksaves, big saves, saves thru console and entering places

i can play for aslong as i like as long as none of that damned saving happens also when i die it crashes to main menu

i hope ive not lost my 129hr play thru

There is a reason why many Skyrim guides strongly recommend to never use quicksave and autosave. Best to just turn them completely off. And of course to never remove mods from an on-going save.
Engine Fixes has a feature that allows for a larger size of unpacked savegame data. Long time playthroughs can reach a point when the un-fixed max size becomes too small for all the information stored in the save. It also allows you to use your quicksave button for regular "full" saves.

Sometimes you can solve the issue of CTDs on save by the player.kill command and a reload from main menu.
