She was originally part of the Dark Brotherhood quest line but, now you can see what will happen to you if you are in the Dark Brotherhood and given the quest to kill her. A little spoiler: she will kill you instead. If you destroy the Dark Brotherhood you can have her as a companion and/or wife. Catch the video here.
