Revenge for the little girl Lucia in Whiterun

I'm always looking to see if maybe someone could please make a quest mod that would make the player able to exact revenge on Lucia's aunt and uncle who kicked her off her own farm after her mother died, leaving her a homeless beggar in Whiterun. Maybe one that would leave the farm in your care (if you'll adopt her) until she gets of age to inherit, so she can live there as you adventure. And giving her relatives the boot, or even better, jail.

It would be nice to be able to become thane, take her case to the jarl, seize the farm, award it to her, then make her aunt and uncle pay her rent, forever, to live in what was their former home, while she lives somewhere nicer.

Well, you can go half way on that "ending story" by adopting her and moving her into one of your many player homes, castles, or palaces, right?

(Isn't Lucia the child in Whitrerun you meet at the Eldergleam tree sitting on a bench, that you're "supposed to" adopt?)

PS> I might sound cold. I'm not. My first play vector, I adopted all the kids I could. (That vector happened to die a quick death during the 1.5.73 to 1.5.80 update process due to unopenable savefiles dating back almost 40 levels, which tbh, I was grateful for since I was also married to Sofia at the time, and she was in her worst form as a semi-permanently drunk narcissist). This particular more recent play vector has been child and marriage free, so I really don't interact with the kids any more unless "necessary"... on purpose, because I'm a roamer/explorer in this one, not a homebody. That's no way to raise a brood.

Anyway, I get the vengeance track, so don't get me wrong. It *would be nice if some of the stories were more fleshed out. Like this one. Maybe have Aunt Cruella and Uncle Brutus put in stocks for a while or something. Make a public thing out of it. Replete with "spectators" and tomato throwing! (ooh, you could even introduce a new spell from the necessary F/X addition.... throw tomato) you could even make them stuck there (in stocks) for a game week or something, have them getting diirtier and dirtier, when they're finally let out they rag-doll like being defeated and lie there exhausted for hours, have to do some walk of shame after. Make it really real. visceral.

Maybe even make catching them a quest, like Lucia mentions some note or document that you of course find, revealing the plot her Aunt/uncle used to rob her of her inheritance and cast her out into the streets, you deliver report to Balgruf (not the steward), he then spouts long winded "Balgruffian" speech about the innocence of children and bad people and what bad people deserve, issues orders, they "get wind" that they're going to be arrested for child abuse/etc and start roaming Skyrim to avoid capture, and you have to find them by asking questions and chasing them down...

But... you can at least already save the orphans if you choose to do so (as I'm sure you're already aware...you've been here as long or longer than me I think). It's basically as simple as having somewhere for them to live and asking them. (and choosing the "responsibility" of religiously executing the proper interactions to begin and to maintain a simulated, responsible child-parent relationship)

of course, with this warped version of the mod I'm now mentally constructing (and probably, in the eyes of the OP, *corrupting*), she'd choose in the end to live with you over moving into her newly inherited digs because she wuvs you (but only if you were a good parent while she was your adoptee, that is... just to up the ante, imagine if, when all was said and done and waiting for the final scene exchange, she said, "I'm leaving for my home" All because you didn't do your duty and *properly maintain the relationship while she was your charge. Notice appears... "Lucia files papers to rescind adoption" Ouch.)

I would like to see a mod that provides an opportunity to get some justice for Lucia.

But what would that justice look like? She can't run the farm herself if you somehow remove her aunt and uncle. Would that mean the Dragonborn would adopt Lucia and take over the farm? Actually the best thing that the player can do for Lucia is to adopt her IMO.

As an alternative to adoption, I have started using a mod 'Stonehall Orphanage' located in Markarth. In my mind, this is better than the Riften orphanage or sleeping outside. In the early game, when my player character does not own a home, there is no alternative. It does not sound like the awful place the Riften Orphanage is. No cannibalism that I am aware of yet.

I am going to be content with this solution until a Lucia DLC becomes available (lol).

I do adopt her when I get the house in Whiterun, but it would be really, really nice to find a way to get back at Lucia's aunt and uncle, who stole her farm after her mother died. I just think that, yes, it needs to be fleshed out a lot more, like you said. It would be great to have a mod quest giving Dragonborn the choice to chase them down and hand them over to Balgruuf for sentencing, like the stocks idea with the townspeople throwing rotten veggies at them before throwing them in jail for not paying the (rather large) fine Balgruuf puts on them, at the player's request, or even sending them to one of the mines to work in for their dastardly deed, maybe even sending Dragonborn to check on them in the mines to discuss what

they've done, and having Lucia decide if she wants to go back and stay with them (under the watchful eye of the Jarl) since the farm IS hers, after all, to inherit when she comes of age, or stay with the player... Any takers?

I can totally get on board with the idea. If it's implemented I would rather see a quest that addresses the cause of her parent's death- maybe via some sort of mystery to solve along the lines of Blood on the Ice, ultimately ending with imprisonment (Which I think is underused in Skyrim).

The aunt and uncle are terrible people, sure, but generally the idea of focusing the entire perspective mod around how they're punished and broken down seems too dark and spiteful, to me.

No cannibalism that I am aware of yet.

'Yet.' Got me to chuckle a bit over this one, lol, thanks.
